Dear Reader,
I’d like to share a little background information about myself. Most people don’t know this, but I’m a GRITS – Girl Raised in the South – without the accent now.
Originally from New Bern, North Carolina, I grew up loving the ocean, sound of the waves, beaches, and outdoors. I spent most of my teenage years and adult life in the Midwest and call Champaign, Illinois home. My strong roots in the Midwest coaxed me to place my first two novels in a small Midwestern town. My third novel takes place in the mountains of North Carolina.
I have more creative urges than time which include knitting, cake decorating, and I’ve taught cake decorating classes in the past. I’m an avid golfer and hit the links sometimes 4-5 days a week, weather permitting, and love to travel to golf destinations. When I was young, I read every Nancy Drew book published. I’ve always read romance novels and fantasized about being a published author. They say write what you love to read - that is why I write contemporary romantic suspense.
My first published venture was a family cookbook, which can be ordered in the Books Section. My first romance novel, Uncharted Depths, will be published by Book Locker and available early summer. I have two other novels, The Apparition, which is being polished, and Illusive Memories, which is under construction.
I’m blessed to have a wonderful son, daughter-in-law, and grandbaby Marissa Aubrey...who was born in July. I cherish every moment with them! I’m also blessed to be surrounded by a loving large family, great friends, and incredibly fun golfing friends that keep me in trouble, on and off the links. And, of course, I can’t leave out Coco – my faithful, sweetheart Bichon.
I’ve learned life can throw some pretty tough curve balls, but those difficult times reinforced my faith, strength, desire, and gratitude that we can achieve what we set out to do – never give up on your dreams – reach for those stars, as they are within reach.
Best wishes always,
