Where Did Summer Go?

// August 19th, 2014 // Uncategorized

Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve blogged, but it’s been a whirlwind of a summer!! In July I met my son and his family at a resort on Ft. Myers Beach for a week. Priceless memories were made as it was the first time my granddaughtFt. Myers Girlsers, Olivia and Marissa, had flown and first time for getting their toes in the ocean. We played hard every day enjoying the great weather and warm surf. We rented a boat one afternoon and got to see the manatees up close and dolphins. Wonderful memories for all of us. Marissa got to experience her first jet ski ride with her dad.

July and August have been full of fun golf with my friends as we visited reciprocal courses and have been working on getting our matches completed. This week-end is our ultimate “end of the season” Hullabaloo, so it will be an all week-end event with a little more pressure to get points!

In between all of this, I have been working diligently on Wicked Moon. And if you’re my friend on Facebook and Twitter, you saw I sent the novel to the publisher on Sunday!!! Huge sigh of relief to have accomplished that. We’re still on a tight timeframe as I need to have the physical books in my hands the first of October as I am planning a trip to Manomet, Massachusetts to do a book signing at the mansion, speak at the local library, and whatever other events we can come up with to promote Wicked Moon.

In the next blog I’m going to share with you a little more about the real backdrop for Wicked Moon—a mansion that was in disrepair that has been saved by the Simes Foundation.

Hope everyone has had a wonderful and safe summer. Hard to believe school has started already for some, including my granddaughter who just went into first grade.

Stay tuned each week and follow the journey of how this mansion became the backdrop for Wicked Moon and why the profits will benefit the Simes Foundation..
